Apple Tartelettes

Just finished watching Victoria Secret Fashion Show 2011 to increase my motivation to keep exercising.
It's really helpful!

Apple Tartelettes(5 servings)
Ingredients:
For the shell:
1/4 cup softened butter
2 tablespoons blanched and grounded almonds
60g confectioners' sugar
3/4 cup wheaten flour
1 egg yolk
a pinch of salt

For the apple filling:
6-7 medium size apples
1/2 cup water
3-4 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla

For the apple topping:
2-3 medium size apples
a pinch of brown sugar
a pinch of cinnamon

Instructions:
1.Take a bowl, whisk the butter and grounded almonds there(I used a fork for whisking). Add confectioners' sugar and mix everything thoroughly. Put the flour and the salt in, beat the egg yolk in. Whisk a mixture for a couple of minutes. Then wrap the batter in the plastic food wrap and refrigerate for about 1 hour.
2.Apple filling: peel and chop the apples, put them in a small pot. Pour 1/4 of the water, add sugar and vanilla. Cook this mixture on the law heat for 40-45 minutes. From time to time, pour some more water.
3.Put the dough in the small tartellete pans. Divide the batter into 5 parts and then using your fingers form the shell and press the dough to the sides of each baking pan. Place them in the refrigerator.
4.Apple topping: peel the apples, take the seeds out. Cut the apples into slices.
5.Fill each tartelette with apple mixture, put the apple slices on the top and sprinkle some cinnamon and brown sugar.
6.Heat the oven to 180 degrees(Celsius) and bake about 45 minutes.

YUUUMMI!!!
